Arts in the Garden: Photo Scavenger Hunt

Everything kicked off with Arts in the Garden: Photo Scavenger Hunt which had participants from Wharfside Commons, Greater Middletown and even Westbrook. We are the feature article in the Middletown Press today. It sounds like everyone had a great time. I can’t wait to see the pictures and for an exhibit to go up. Thanks to Ms. Ros for taking an idea and running with it to a successful event. Arts in the Garden lead to The 3:27’s playing in the Luis Lopez Herb Garden. What a great partnership to have The North End Nights and all the events happening together on the same evening. http://middletownpress.com/articles/2009/07/09/news/doc4a56b1d33d088564797801.txt

Photo Journalism Fall 2009 Overview

Photo Journalism 2009 is a Green Street Arts Center Afterschool Program club. The Afterschool Program is open to area students between the ages of 7 and 18, offering them a safe place to go each weekday afternoon and giving them the opportunity to enrich their lives through the arts and learn other transferable skills. In Photo Journalism the children are engaged in learning how to work with digital cameras and to write articles about their personal interests, Green Street activities and Middletown events.
